This is our last whole day and night in our motorhome - sad
face : (
He cute little black squirrel racing up and down the trees makes
me smile : )
Today’s plan is more cleaning and biffing stuff until we get
our rental car at 11am. It’s a very nice
Ford Fusion Hybrid (white - from the girls point of view) and will apparently do 42 miles to
the gallon! We stay in town for a while
and I have a quick look at the Bellis Fair Mall, it’s a big one and we will be
staying nearby tomorrow night so will have a good look around then.
Back to the coach, seal up our carton after one more look
through, we need to itemise how many pairs of jeans, shirts, shoes etc. and take
it the Post Office in nearby Blaine, just south of the Canadian border. The lady is so helpful and chatty, I think
that was to distract our attention away from the face the carton weighs a
meagre 32lb and it cost over $200 to send.
The good news is, it was sent Express, at no additional cost and we can
track it and if it is not delivered as promised by 9 August, we can claim some
of the postage back! Let’s see how they
perform.
We have a drive around Blaine, it is a lovely little town
with a nautical theme, a quite large marina, lots of trees and hanging baskets,
a coffee shop built like a ship, an office for something obscure with model
boats adorning the windowsills.
Its nearly 4pm and we still have a lot to do so head back to
the coach for our last evening, attack the fridge, do more laundry, more
packing, more unpacking and repacking, finish off the wine so we don’t have to
declare any when we get to Canada, make lists, fluff around until it’s time for
our last sleep in our motorhome.
