Happy 4th of July everyone! Cloudy again today which is a shame for the
fireworks displays tonight but it is warm, forecast high 21C. Not sure it gets to that.
We thought the resort was having a 4th July Fair today
but it was yesterday, so we missed it. Didn’t
see very many coaches dressed up to enter the competition either.
So it was a very cruisy day, spent a couple of hours over in
the activity lounge using the free WIFI until my laptop power ran low. The coffee over there isn’t bad and HGTV was on the TV.
Pretty soon the day is done and unfortunately there is still
cloud cover for the fireworks show at 10pm, once it gets dark. We could hear them but couldn’t see anything,
I guess if you aren’t allowed flying exploding fireworks they don’t go very
high. Didn’t see any go off around the
camp.
On the subject of fireworks, the matariki fireworks scheduled for this Saturday night in Wellington has been postponed due to a rare Right whale hanging about seeking some love in our capital harbour. Only one spied so far but they think the noise of the fireworks would hamper chances of a happy ever after tale. You will find some lovely pictures on Stuff next time you're online if interested.
